My Story
In 2005, God wrote the first chapter of an extraordinary story that continues to unfold. As a teenage girl from South Carolina, I joined a Power Team mission trip to Israel, not knowing that this journey would change my life forever. There, in the Holy Land, I met a boy from Nebraska who would later become my husband—but even more importantly, I found my Savior and was baptized in the Jordan River.
Fast forward twenty years: we're blessed with three children and a deep love for the land where our story began. But God wasn't finished weaving the threads of our Israel connection.
In 2023, while watching "The Mosaic Church" documentary, I felt a divine calling. The documentary featured the remarkable discovery of the Megiddo Prison mosaic—the earliest known Christian house of worship, dating back to 230 AD. This ancient artwork, with its revolutionary inclusion of women church donors and the earliest known inscription declaring Jesus as God, deeply resonated with my spirit.
Inspired by this remarkable piece of Christian history, I embarked on a 170-hour journey to recreate this ancient mosaic. Through each carefully placed piece, I found myself connecting with those early believers who had worshipped in that sacred space nearly 1,800 years ago.
Now, my husband and I are beginning a new chapter as we share this story through our presentation "Ancient Stones, Modern Faith." We weave together our personal testimony, the fascinating archaeological discovery at Megiddo, and the artistic process of recreating this significant piece of Christian history.
Our story continues to unfold as we see how God works across time—connecting a teenage mission trip, a marriage, a prison discovery in Israel, and an artistic calling into one beautiful mosaic of His perfect plan.
